Today marks World Youth Skills Day, a global reminder of the importance of equipping young people with the skills they need to thrive in an ever-changing world.
At ODH, we are committed to supporting youth development every day through meaningful opportunities, clear guidance, and hands-on training. We believe that investing in young people not only strengthens our workforce but also drives long-term success in the construction sector.
๐น One of our apprentices, Leo Ryman, shares his inspiring journey:
“I joined ODH in October 2024 and began a Diploma in Plumbing and Heating, which Iโm thoroughly enjoying. Every week brings something new, and Iโm constantly developing my skills. This has been the best opportunity Iโve had in a long time โ I genuinely feel happy and fulfilled at work.”
“Before ODH, I wasnโt satisfied with my previous job. While exploring my options, I came across ODH, did some research, and quickly realised it was exactly what I was looking for. I reached out to Patrick via the website and got a warm, welcoming response. Just a few days later, I had an interview. Pat was professional, transparent, and clearly explained the role and expectations. I really appreciated his approach โ and Iโve never looked back.”
Weโre incredibly proud of Leo and all our apprentices who are gaining the skills and confidence to lead the future of construction โ
